Dr. H. Cynthia Lin, Ph.D. (she/her) is the founder of Citylink Psychological Services and also a licensed clinical psychologist in New York State, proudly and successfully treating children, adults, and families in New York City, both Brooklyn Heights and Queens since 2016. In 2023, Dr. Lin further obtained a practicing psychologist license in New Jersey and is currently authorized to practice Telehealth across state lines in 40 states through PSYPACT. She provides mental health services and clinical consultations via video sessions for residents in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Connecticut, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
Dr. Lin specializes in behavioral medicine, stress management, and health psychology, using her expertise to promote healthier living. She received the Outstanding Early Career Professional Presentation Award from the APA for her impactful research. Dr. Lin earned her bachelor's in psychology from the University of Washington and her Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a Health Track from the University of Miami. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowships in New York, where she practices and consults. Outside of work, she enjoys international travel, singing karaoke, and playing boardgames with friends and family.
Prior to joining CityLink Psychological Services, Dr. Lin amassed extensive experience treating a diverse range of patients in various clinical environments. She undertook significant research at prominent institutions, including Mount Sinai Hospital, the University of Washington Harborview Medical Center, the UC Berkeley Foster Care Research Program, Veteran Affairs Hospitals, and University Hospitals in both Seattle and Miami. Beyond her clinical practice, she has taught courses at the University of Miami, imparting her expertise to students. Currently, she holds the position of Adjunct Clinical Supervisor at the NYU Steinhardt School and Yeshiva University Ferkauf Graduate School, where she is committed to mentoring graduate students in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness. Dr. Lin is also an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA), contributing to the progression of the field of clinical health psychology.
